Wooooo it’s day 6, the second to last day of the challenge! I know you’ve been trucking through these all week and I hope they’re working for you or at least becoming something you can easily add into your day and become habit for you!!
Today we’re going to talk about getting out of your comfort zone- what I love about this one is that it could mean so many different things. It could be getting out of your comfort zone socially, financially, mentally, physically…ANYTHING! The sky is the limit here and this is pretty much my favorite thing to talk about! JUMPING. JUST JUMP. No seriously…the best things in life come from that space outside of the box you hide in. The best things happen on the other side of fear. What does that mean?
Take me for example…I am a self described “planner”…i like plans, lists, schedules. I always have and this year I decided that 2018 was going to be the year that I be more impulsive and spontaneous. I vowed that this year I would do what I wanted, when I wanted…If my gut TOLD me to do it, I would. Yes of course i worried about the financial aspect of it but it ALWAYS WORKED OUT. I did this with a Chicago trip in December, a New York trip in March and Last week I woke up and decided that I was going to go see Tony Robbin’s (it’s on my bucket list) and I knew I had to act now and not worry about what it took to get there, just what amazing benefits i’d get from experiencing it. I found that the last event he’s doing for Unleash The Power Within was in July…just a mere 3 weeks before my 30th birthday. I knew it had to happen and the person I was meant to bring with me is my husband. So I did it…i cleared it with my mom (babysitter) and just fucking jumped. Does the $$ aspect of it scare me? Sure bro. Does the thought of staying exactly where I am because i’m too scared to take any serious action scare me more? You bet your ass it does. TAKE ACTION. MAKE LEAPS. Remember that fear of something is fake and there is a difference between doing the SMART thing and doing the SAFE thing and they’re rarely the same thing.
TO DO: Make another list! Think about the things big AND small that you have always wanted to do but fear has held you back! Travel alone? Buy a home? Climb a mountain? Learn to play an instrument? Invest? Think about what is holding you back- is it financial fear, mental fear, physical fear? Are you afraid of being judged? WHAT is holding you back and how can you fight it?
